EM 082 Gallbladder

Gallbladder

Scanning electron micrograph (SEM) looking down on the interior surface of the gallbladder. The borders between adjacent are easily distinguished because of gaps in the microvilli.

(Although this is a simple columnar epithelium, the shape of the cells and the number of layers can not be determined from this micrograph.)
